I spotted Mrs Woolley while photographing for a book on Tasmania.

She had been tending her vegetable garden, picking peas and putting them into her 'pinny' (apron). It was a very hot January day. She immediately ushered me inside her weatherboard house and within minutes she had generously offered me a cool drink of lime cordial.

A much loved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother of many.
